Lumen is an education community. Our mission is Educating Hearts and Minds. To provide enrichment courses, serve our community and support homeschool families.
Educating Hearts
We guide and inspire our kids to let their light shine by serving others. One of the ways we do this is by partnering with local organizations that support families in need.
Educating Minds
At Lumen, we offer enrichment electives such as geography, choir, art, and STEM, along with fun extracurriculars like Book Club, LEGO Engineering, Coding and more.
2025 FALL ELECTIVES
Geography
Lumen’s geography class takes kids around the globe, discovering countries and cultures through games, hands-on activities, and authentic food from places our teachers call home
4 Lessons a month
Art
Our art program is for preschool through 8th grade. Students explore techniques, build skills, and express themselves while learning about art history and developing their personal style.
1 Lesson a month
Choir & Drama
Children will develop vocal skills, stage presence, and a sense of teamwork as they prepare traditional Christmas songs and perform in a joyful, family-friendly play for our annual Christmas program.
4 Practices a month | K-8th
Extracurricular Clubs- $20/CLASS
STEM Enrichment
We offer hands-on LEGO® Engineering for preschool and elementary students—no screens involved! Older students in 1st through 6th grade can dive into the world of Coding, building logic and problem-solving skills through fun, age-appropriate challenges.
PreK-6th
Spanish
Spanish for Elementary students aims to teach Spanish in a fun, dynamic way. The curriculum uses music, crafts, and games to engage children while practicing vocabulary, phrases, pronunciation, and comprehension.
K-2nd & 3rd-5th
Once Upon a Craft
A variety of fun hands-on activities designed to spark imagination and support development ranging from arts and crafts, movement and music, to creative DIY projects - all thoughtfully connected to an engaging storytelling experience.
